20year Reunion - WHAT???

August 25 was our 20 year High School reunion - What? How did that happen!
I had a great time, so nice to see everyone and hear what they are doing and have done over the last 20 years.
I have to admit I was a bit nervous, not sure if I would recognize everyone or anyone for that matter. I picked up Erin and we headed for Jacks at Bear Mountain. When we first arrived not many people were there but as the night went on more and more people started showing up, we had a huge graduating class - approx 600 people - about 100 (maybe a bit better) came to the reunion that night.

Lots of hugging and laughing!

We all started as Kindies together - Jamie, me, Becky, Shawna, Jenny , Blair and Dave in the back
WOW!

I am so glad I went, I had a great time chatting, laughing and reminising.
PS thanks for the photo Erin ;-)

Furry Little Visitors

We got up to these two cuties sniffing around below the house.
Russ and I were watching them from the kitchen window and you could tell they were listening intently to the sounds from us.

Population Explosion!

We were at our friends Lloyd and Lindas house visiting and picking vegies from their HUGE garden. They were entertaining the kids with stories of what has been going on at their house. Linda then announced they had a population explosion, and as you can see Autumn and her eight day old kittens was the explosion!
They are so cute!
Now the kids are asking and asking for a kitten -each!
Look at the little calico and tortoise shell ones - oh oh - mommy is breaking down!

Garden Salsa

I was given this salsa recipe by Sharon and Larry in Clearwater and it is sooooooo great, and whats even better is the kids LOVE it!

We planted many Zucchini plants this year but only one came up - thank goodness because it has produced so many zucchini I am trying to find things to make with them!

Anyway this Salsa recipe takes 10 cups of Zucchini! Perfect!

Our one plant

Everything ready!

Oops very hard to read!
Oops not super legible - the part on the right side reads mix and boil for 1/2 hour, last 10 minutes add 1 can drained corn and 1 can rinsed black beans pack in sterilized jars and process 20 minutes in hot water bath.
Oh I don't put the Jalepeno in.

Russ was so excited to be able to cut this one off the plant

Tay was more interested in a new bouquet for the counter! So sweet!
17 jars later! oh and I think thats zucchini cake in front of the jars!
I have all the ingredients again this weekend to make two more recipes - mmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Feeling Loved

It has been so long since I have posted! Ekk better catch everyone up on the goings on here!!!

I had to share this - I came home from work to find these on the counter with beautiful little notes attached to them!

Brightened the whole day!!

I love the corrections Russ did on his and if you look really close it says "frum".
Tayler was so excited she pulled hers off to show before I even came in the door!

New biker

Tayler received a second hand bike from our friend Lauren.
And for the first time since she was very little she became very interested in riding a bike and in one day mastered it!
When she was about 2 1/2 years old she fell off her bike and broke her. She has showed no interest in getting on a bike until these past few weeks. So when she arrived home from Prince George and was able to try her new bike she was so excited and is now roaring around everywhere with it. She comes in the house all red in the face and sweaty (as she says).

We are so proud of her for picking it up so fast and loving it!

Thank you for the bike Loey!

Front porch - Yippy!

While Rick, Jo Gisela, Helmut and Linnea were here, Ed Rick and Helmut put the front porch on - isn't it great!
Its so lovely - I can't wait to put my little table and chairs on it, so I can drink my tea and lookout over the front yard!

Hanging on the porch
We had such a great visit - as always! This was Giselas and Helmuts first visit up and I think they had a wonderful time exploring and helping out. Gisela was off picking wild blueberries with the kids and making a lovely cakes with them as well as super yummy meals (I almost got kicked out of my kitchen - which was fine with me ;-)). Ed, Rick and Helmut were putting up shelves in the shop and of course doing the front porch. We brought in the last of our hay, we went swimming, played new card games explored the property and just had a great visit.
