Easter at home

We had a nice quiet Easter at home for the first time in this house.  The kids said are we going anywhere this year for Easter, can we stay home and have Easter here? Of Course - I said.
No traveling and running around I'm all for that!

Anyway the Easter bunny came with lots of chocolate a couple little gifts and a treasure hunt to find it all.
Tay checking out her loot.

Hard to see but these were the clues Dylan received from the Easter bunny that lead him to his basket
Here he is happy to see what he received
Tay decided we were going for a picnic - she packed all the snacks and drinks for everyone and we all headed up to the big field where Ed was pulling more trees.
So Cute - Tay had something for all of us including Russ's favorite Cherrios in a container just for him

Almost all the snow is gone - Spice is in this picture somewhere in the distance eating her way towards us
Tayler in control and so proud - this is the first time she was on the 4wheeler by herself
Our dessert - check it out - I made that, can you believe it - I can't I was so proud of myself. It was SO SUPER easy too!
Nice Huh?

Founds these in my drafts folder

I was cleaning up my blog and found these pictures from April 2009 ready to go but no writing - look at Tayler isn't she so cute not sure what she is doing but she might be showing off the fact that there is snow and she is not wearing her coat!

Our snow fort - just couldn't figure out how to put the lid on

Kitchen Counters and ceiling boards

We have been working on these counters for ages now and nothing was working - we almost scrapped all Eds work to purchase counter tops. Then we found a Refinishing kit and thought lets give it one last try and look at the results and they are not clear coated yet (hopefully today)

First Ed laminated up 3 sheets of OSB, routed all the edges and  we were going clear coat them to make the strands stand out but the epoxy was not cooperating at all. I didn't want to scrap all the work Ed had put into them so we tried this kit and the results are awesome!

I'm so excited to get my kitchen back! working ff the kitchen table for everything sucks - its just too small! Not to mention I want my sink back - man the things we take for granted!

Eds has run a bunch of cedar through his molder/planer machine and the results are beautiful. This will be the ceiling in our kitchen, dining room and the boys rooms downstairs!

Half has Tung oil on it and half doesn't thats why the two colours
