More snowy pictures

We have had so much snow lately its crazy - In the last week and a half it has probably snowed everyday except two - its accumulating fast. If you walk on the trails around the yard you are good, but when you step off, you in up to your knees at least!
I was out one evening feeding Spice and closing up the chicken coop and didn't realize how much it was snowing until I looked at these pictures

Ghostly view of the house at night

Shayleigh loves the snow - its hilarious when she jumps of the trails,
she has a time getting out of the deep snow

Hanging out at the Sawmill

Last weekend we took the tractor and Spice out to roam around the property.
Ed wanted to do a little work on the mill so we all played around in the snow until the kids started complaining they were cold.

Beautiful days of Winter

I took these pictures early one morning while waiting for Tim (my carpool, neighbor, friend)

They show the beauty of the Cariboo even in the winter!

I was on my way to a CPAC meeting for the schoon Tuesday night and the moon was so big and full I couldn't resist  taking pictures, unfortunately my little camera does it no justice! But it was really beautiful!

Moosey Morning

On the way to work yesterday we came across this moose grazing on the side of Bates road.

Fun on a Sunny Sunday

After doing a much needed cleanup in the house we headed out and tried out our sledding hill again!
Its right between the shop and the house(house to the left, shop up to the right)
The hill we chose goes all the way to the well 800 feet down, we built a snow wall to stop us so we didn't end up at the bottom and have to hike all the way up

Oh and its on the chicken trail from the coop to the house

Spice was standing in the sun soaking up the rays and watching us the whole time. After about 10 runs I decided to have a rest and she decided to steal my gloves. She is also know for zipping zippers and unbuttoning coats too

Tubing at the Hills with the School!

Yesterday the kids went on a Field Trip to the Hills Health Ranch for Tubing. It was a blast !
I joined them later in the morning after picking up 14 pizzas and a jug with 72 cups of Hot chocolate!
My car smelled so good by the time I got there!
After figuring out where lunch was being held, we headed down to the Teepee with all the food on sleds!
After lunch I finally decided to give it a go, what fun! I couldn't find my own kids as they were having way to much fun - but my friends little girl, River, adopted me and we conquered the slopes together!

Dylan too impatient to wait for the tow rope - he hiked up most of the time !

Russ having a ball, but same as Dylan most times wouldn't  wait  for tow rope

Slopes from bottom

Here he comes up the tow rope - mustn't have been a very long line

Check out the weather - it was a gorgeous day!

Me and River my sledding companion - "Let's go Auntie!" She is the sweetest little thing !
What made the day more fun was it was just our kids from Forest Grove School and a school from Big Lake - east of Williams Lake, so there was probably 70 people in total there all day so we had the slopes to ourselves it was great!

Playing around and packing groceries

When I got home on Saturday Tayler and Russ hauled groceries on their sleds to the house, much easier than carrying them through the 4 inches on fresh snow and around the truck

I let Spice out and she was so nosy we were having trouble getting around her to get the groceries to the house.
The snow melted on her mane and then refroze and formed little icicles and they jingled when she walked

Quick picture before she stuck her nose in my face

Going for a walk and finding some yummy treasures under the snow

Walking up to the big field

Do we have to go any farther?

Thats it I'm going back - BYE!
