I am heading off to the post office now to send Kelly a letter and the memory card for her camera. Hope you've enjoyed all the pictures and my little update! I'm sure there will be more to enjoy just as soon as Kelly and Ed have the house finished and internet up and running. Until then, be sure to send them lots of mail. Forest Grove Elementary School has about 30 students, in two classes. Dylan and Russ are together in the grade 1-3 class. They're adjusting to it, and making new friends already. Playing on the field can be a challenge when the local herd of cattle gets onto the grass. Look out for cow patties!
Dylan, Russ and Tayler are adjusting well to their new rural lifestyle. Here are a few photos of them in action!

DRT Springs is coming along quite nicely

Hello, friends and family of the Kelseys! This is Kelly's friend Erin, reporting to you from Victoria, where Kelly, Ed and Tayler recently stopped by... There was no time for her to update the blog, as they were off to pick up windows for the new house but she left her photo card with me so I could do it for her. I'll be mailing it back up to Forest Grove this afternoon. So now, without further ado... DRT Springs in all its current glory!

Looks like the Kelseys caused a Forest Grove-style traffic jam with all their construction equipment!

As you can see, the second floor is now on, as are the trusses for the roof (I'm pretty sure Kelly said the metal roofing is being delivered in the next couple of weeks) The dormer windows are causing Ed more than his fair share of problems, but they are going to look fantastic when all is said and done, don't you agree?


Things are going well, and when I saw Kelly and Ed on Monday, they were both pretty happy with the way the house is progressing. They are hoping to be at "lock-up" (doors and windows in, roof on, house dry inside!) by the last few weeks of October. Wow! It's very exciting to see their dream being realized. I can't wait to go up to visit them, hopefully next spring!
