Dreams do come true...

Yes, dreams do come true! Anyone who knows me, knows my childhood dream.  On every birthday and Christmas for 30 years, I asked for that "pony" - Mom Dad, Please Can I have a pony? Well, today I finally have my "pony" except she is bigger than a pony - Her name is Sierras Sleeper, AKA Spice, she is a beautiful 12 year old roan Quarter Horse. She is great around kids (big seller) and has a quiet temperment.

At this point she is still at Bridge Creek Estates in town, waiting for the farrier to put shoes on. After that my neighbour Rita has agreed to bring her home for me.

I am over the top, excited and can't wait to get her home, but as I have learned over the past 30 years, dream are worth waiting for, even if its just a couple more days!

Her ears are back, because she was pushing away the other horses in the pasture

Sailing with Grandma and Grandpa

Sunday morning bright and early June 5 we took the kids out to Sidney to meet Marg and Ted at the marina for Dylan and Russells Sailing trip.  We had a nice visit on the boat, but I was told by Dylan to hurry up and guzzle my tea as he wanted to get going! Was he excited - thats an understatement - they both had been talking about the trip for 2 weeks!  So I guzzled the rest of my tea and left them to "set Sail"

They had a wonderful time - when I picked them up they were so disappointed about leaving! I think this might become a regular thing when we are down in Victoria. What a great experience for them and Grandma and Grandpa!

Quick trip to Victoria

At the beginning of June we made a quick trip down to Victoria for my cousins wedding, June 4 at Bear Mountain.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day for an out door ceremony behind the hotel with a spectacular veiw of the mountains.  The kids were so excited to see each other again, Tayler and Jess were inseparable as usual and Hayley and the boys roared around after the ceremony exploring and having fun.

Quick while everyone is dressed up - notice how happy the boys are about this - not!

Taylers first wedding she couldn't get enough of the dancing. She danced all evening and was still going strong when we left at 10:30! The boys on the other hand were not impressed with the dancing at all - am I surprised!

Dancing, dancing, dancing

We were only on the island for 2 days so we didn't get much visiting time with friends - unfortunately so hard to squeeze everyone in! But we did meet up with Marg and Ted and they took Dylan and Russ over night on the boat - they had a wonderful time. Pictures coming up!
