Dylan is 8!

April 24 Dylan turned 8, we had a party for him on April 25 at the park down the road, him and his buddies ran and played for three hours it was wonderful! And not much mess to clean up!

Unfortunately it was very hard to get any good pictures, as they were on the go the whole time.

With getting one year older, he is now an expert at everything (and I mean everything!) Answers for everyone, includes himself in ALL conversations, oh man - I know just wait till he is a teeneager.

Mobile Sand Box

Ed and I have been pouring cement in a couple places around the house, new patio at the back door, new steps into the crawlspace and this weekend new garage floor. When Ed arrived home with his huge trailer full of gravel, Dylan and Russells eyes lit up and they were out the door and into the trailer, building roads, sifting it, moving it to all sides, they were having a ball. At one point Ed had to move it, so it was in a better position for loading cement mixers and the kids wouldn't even get out, they continued to play.

Easter at the Cabin

Here are some pictures from Easeter weekend. As you can see there was still alot of snow! When we arrive the car wouldn't go down the driveway so Ed walkedin and iopened up the cabin. while the kids and I unloaded the 4wheeler. Dylan drove Tay and Russ, as Ed and I pushed them down the driveway. (4wheeler are CRAPPING in the snow!!!) Once we had the tracks, Ed and Dylan went back and forth for all our stuff from the car while Russ and Tay and I set up beds and a fire. We were good then. The Easter bunny visited the next morning and hid some eggs around the cabin for the kids, then the Boys and I made an igloo - though we didn't have the engineering skills to put the roof on so plywood had to do.
We stayed 5 days and had a great time. There was lots of snow but it was pretty warm.
Tayler decided she could handle the snow and didn't need a coat.

Enjoying some Sun

I don't mean to rub it in but we have been having some gorgeous weather over the past week. The kids love it - they are out until late into the evening playing with the neighbours and doing what they do best - digging in the backyard. We have even walked to school a few times with Erin and her little guys.

Here are a few pictures of Tay and Russ and my Pugh boys enjoying ice cream and sunshine at Erins.

Soccer wind up for the Season

The boys were so excited this morning as this was the day they would receive their medals for Soccer. Dylan had three games throughout the weekend, they won two and tied one. Russell played for an hour and a half Sunday and, well, I' not sure how they did, because it is hard to follow with the flurry of activity on and off the field - they had fun and that was what it was all about.

Dylans coach put on a BBQ for the team and their families, it was great and the coaches had trophies done for all the kids. Proud day for the boys and us!!

Spring Break - where, when? we had Spring Break?

Well I succeeded in filling our spring break so full that it FLEW by!!! But we had lots of fun!

The first weekend we had free because both boys soccer games were rained out - I forgot how nice it was to have two weekend days that were open - nothing pressing to do! My Grandma and Dad dropped by Sunday morn - we were all in our PJS but we had a really nice visit, they had already been out for breaky - we were very lazy that morning.

Monday - My Mom, Grandma, Auntie Leona, Tayler and I went to Butcharts for high tea, it was so lovely and Tay was in her element. There was a beautiful tray of sandwiches and goodies and she ate all goodies - who wants sandwiches when there are cookies, chocolate macaroons, fruit boats etc. Then we walked through the whole garden (I haven't do that for years!) We had fun in the gift shop too.

Tuesday - was Beach day with Mom and Dad, us and Hayley and Jessie - and to top it off three dogs - wow that was interesting! It was a great day and the kids loved throwing rocks in the water and running away from the waves, until Tay fell over a rock and ended up pretty wet. After that Dinner at Mom and Dads - yum, yum Spaghetti our fav!!

Wednesday and Thursday were MY days - I went to the Kingfisher Resort and Spa overnight with a friend and went out for breakfast and an hour at the spa - FABULOUS!!! What did the kids and Ed do - I don't know you will have to ask them ;-) I was pampering myself!

Friday - back to Naniamo to visit with friends and have dinner, we had a great time - we had trouble getting away at 9:30pm to be home by 11pm.

Saturday, Sunday - SOCCER!! Dylan had a tourny - played three games throughout the weekend they lost two and won one - Dylan scored a goal so he was flying on cloud nine!! Russell had one game sunday and made a great check on the opposite team but crashed in the process - I had trouble keeping him out to make sure his nose stopped bleeding - he wanted to play more ! All was good - play on!!

Whew I'm wiped - back to reality and school - man - I love the spa, my new "thing"!!!

Our Little "pincess"

Tayler has been dressing up for the last week in her pretty dresses with her new crown and cape that her cousin Hayley gave her. The other day when she come to me with a blanket wrapped around her saying "Mommy look I a pincess" and that is what started it. I'm not even sure where she learned about princesses. Isn't she soooooooo cute!
