Evening Canoe trip

We took the canoe out for the first time in about 5 years. We loaded 40 Timbits (I' sure you can guess what they were for) 3 kids and Ed and I, but thankfully no dogs this time. We paddled around Langford lake for about an hour, it was beautiful, unfortunately my camera decided to die after two pictures. Dylan was so nervous he couldn't stop talking, Tayler had the white knuckle grip on my legs (she sat right at the front) and Russell was cool as a cucumber hanging out eating Timbits!
Notice Russell - mmm Timbits, and Dylan was only quiet when he was stuffing his mouth!

Weekend fun

Tayler learned to pedal her bike today. So exciting and once again I cannot take credit for this. My little 8year old neighbour taught Tay how to pedal and off she went. Alexis also spent hours running beside Russell when he was learning and with in 2 days he was off and then next thing I knew he was doing jumps!
All of us, have been up and down the quiet road across from our house many times today and more to come I'm sure! Tayler is SO proud of herself. And look a video just like you are there!

Visiting with GG

Yesterday Tayler spent the entire day with my Grandma, while I had my last helper day in the kindergarten with Russells class. Tayler and GG had a great girls day visiting, going out for lunch and playing in the garden. Later that evening the rest of us went over for dinner and had a fabulously evening visiting on the back patio while the kids collected snails - EWWWWWWWW!!!Tayler and I also went crazy taking pictures of GGs beautiful garden. I love the little garden house, and the rock is very special, it is from my great grandfathers property out in Saanich, yep when grandma says I'm moving, the rock goes too!

Today is hot! Lets go to the beach!

We have been having some beautiful weather over the last few days - so what better place to be than - the beach! I have to say though I had my doubts I thought it would be hotter at the beach than our house, but it was wonderful with a little breeze and the beach all to ourselves. Russell was catching Hermit crabs and Tayler, Sawyer and Little Dylan were having a great time filling buckets with water and sand. As you can see Sawyers favorite place is "in" the water.

Russell is 6!!!

Russ turned 6 on May 22 and wanted to have his party at the beach. So he and 5 friends and thier families joined us at the beach for a party. It was really wonderful, the kids loved it. I didn't plan any games for the kids as there was buckets, shovels logs, water and sand - what more do you need. I made a cool beach cake but when I got it out and set it on the box we had as a table I had hid my camera in the box - so hopefully Leanne got a good picture and I will post it when it comes.

Tayler is 3!

Tayler turned 3 April 28! On April 30 she had her friends for a Teddy Bear Tea party in my parents front yard for her Birthday. It was so cute we had little scones and jello jigglers in the shape of teddy bear heads, little cupcakes and tea in tiny kid sized tea cups.
On Taylers birthday she went to her friend Dylan and Sawyers for the day. In the afternoon they all went over to Goldstream preschool for a drop-in and the teacher made Tayler this crown and all the kids sang her Happy Birthday. She was so excited when I went to pick her up, she loved the crown so much she wore it for two days and tried to go to bed in it.

Here is my little Rock Star - Hayley and Jessie gave Tayler this pink Guitar for her birthday - the entire family has been getting enjoyment out of this present. Dylan, on a fairly regular basis, is jamming on it, and I even caught Ed playing for the kids the other day.

Dylan is 8!

April 24 Dylan turned 8, we had a party for him on April 25 at the park down the road, him and his buddies ran and played for three hours it was wonderful! And not much mess to clean up!

Unfortunately it was very hard to get any good pictures, as they were on the go the whole time.

With getting one year older, he is now an expert at everything (and I mean everything!) Answers for everyone, includes himself in ALL conversations, oh man - I know just wait till he is a teeneager.
